RIYADH: Saudi Arabia and Greece have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in cybersecurity, enhance information sharing and protect their national security interests.

The agreement was signed by the National Cybersecurity Authority of Saudi Arabia and its Greek counterpart on the sidelines of the fourth meeting of the working group of the Military and Security Committee under the Saudi-Hellenic Strategic Partnership Council, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

The MoU follows the joint statement issued during Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’s visit to Saudi Arabia on October 25, in which both countries underscored the importance of enhancing cybersecurity cooperation and information sharing to safeguard their vital interests and national security.

The agreement aims to strengthen coordination between the two countries in protecting cyberspace and their vital interests. Key areas of cooperation include the exchange of expertise and best practices to address emerging cybersecurity challenges.
