ISLAMABAD: The per tola price of 24 karat gold went up by Rs1,300 on Friday and was traded at Rs208,500 against Rs207,200 on Thursday.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also witnessed an increase of Rs 1,114 to Rs178,755 compared to Rs177,641 on the previous day, while that of 10 grams of 22 karats increased to Rs163,858 from Rs162,837, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price of one tola silver increased by Rs50 and was trading at Rs2,350, while that of 10-gram silver went up by Rs42.86 to 2,014.74.
Gold Price in the international market
Meanwhile, gold price in the international market decreased by US$44 to US$1,911, compared to its sale at $1,955 on Thursday, the Association reported.
Despite the decrease in the international market, the value of gold in the local market appreciated only because of the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
