Earlier this month, Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr Badr Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and affirmed his country’s support in confronting anything that threatens the Kingdom’s security, stability and territorial integrity during a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah.

During the phone call, Abdelatty strongly condemned the attacks targeting Abha and King Khalid International airports, stressing that the escalation and attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s territory constitute a destabilising threat to the security and stability of the region as a whole.

He expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and affirmed its support in confronting anything that threatens its security, stability, and territorial integrity.

Last month, foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkiye, and Egypt affirmed Saudi Arabia’s inherent right to defend itself, its territory, and its people against attacks, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter, while strongly condemning all attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Houthi attacks.
