RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided drinking water and food assistance to displaced families in three governorates of Yemen and distributed shelter kits to displaced and disaster-affected people in Sudan’s Kassala State, benefiting thousands of people.
KSrelief pumped 12,600 litres of drinking water for displaced and affected people in the Old Al-Ba’ararah area of Al-Muzaffar district of Taiz Governorate in Yemen, benefiting 840 individuals from 120 families, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

The assistance, delivered as part of the emergency response project to provide drinking water for displaced people in Taiz, reflects Saudi Arabia’s efforts, through KSrelief, to improve living conditions, provide safe drinking water, strengthen community resilience, and support recovery in Yemen, according to SPA.
Meanwhile, KSrelief distributed 1,050 food baskets to people displaced by recent events in the Karsh area of Al-Qabbaytah district of Lahj Governorate in Yemen.
The aid benefited 7,350 people from 1,050 families as part of the second phase of the Emergency Food Interventions Project in Yemen, according to SPA.

The initiative is part of the humanitarian and relief programs provided by Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to support the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering.
Similarly, KSrelief distributed 712 food baskets in Khanfar District of Abyan Governorate in Yemen, benefiting 3,276 individuals from 712 displaced families as part of the Emergency Response Project in Yemen.

KSrelief also distributed 741 shelter kits on Thursday to displaced people, disaster-affected residents, and families most in need in Sudan’s Kassala State, benefiting 5,392 people, SPA reported on Saturday.

The distribution is part of the center’s 2026 Madad initiative in Sudan and Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian efforts to help the Sudanese people.
