GAZA: Saudi aid agency, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has distributed 25,000 hot meals to the most vulnerable groups in central and southern Gaza Strip.

The initiative, carried out by the central kitchen of KSrelief, benefited 25,000 individuals, as part of the Saudi campaign to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.

The initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts through KSrelief to meet the basic needs of affected Palestinian families and strengthen their resilience amid the challenging humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the centre also distributed 1,702 food baskets through the Khair Baskets Project to support food security for the most vulnerable families in the Old City, east of Gaza City in the Gaza Strip.

The assistance benefited 10,212 individuals under the Saudi campaign to support the brotherly Palestinian people in the enclave, the SPA reported.

Earlier this month, KSrelief signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Centre for Culture and Heritage to establish and operate Riyadh School Al-Namudhajiyah in Deir Al-Balah in the Gaza Strip.

The agreement was signed via videoconference by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz and Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage Chairman Dr Essam Abu Khalil.

The project aims to help restore basic education for children affected by the war in Gaza by establishing an equipped school for 720 boys and girls from Grades 1 to 6. The school will operate in two daily shifts to accommodate prevailing conditions in the Strip.
