RIYADH: Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki Al-Malki on Monday said that a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward Riyadh was intercepted and destroyed.

Earlier, the Coalition spokesperson said that 136 military targets in areas controlled by the terrorist Houthi were destroyed, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

In addition to dismantling the Houthi missile-launching capabilities, the coalition has also destroyed the missile that was launched by the group towards Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia.

Major General Turki Al-Malki stated that coalition forces had carried out a large-scale operation targeting the Houthi group’s operatives and capabilities, destroying 136 military targets in areas under the terrorist group’s control.

Al-Malki affirmed that the coalition was working to dismantle and destroy the terrorist ballistic missile network while providing round-the-clock air support to units of the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Earlier on Monday, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received a phone call from Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, who condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with the Kingdom.

King Abdullah II affirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in confronting any threat to its security and the safety of its citizens and residents, as well as Jordan’s full support for the measures the Kingdom has taken to protect its resources, SPA reported.

Several countries condemned the Houthi continued attacks on airports and on civilians and civilian and economic facilities in Saudi Arabia.

They called the Houthi attacks a flagrant violation of international law and a blatant assault on the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and stability and on the safety of its citizens and residents.
