68 Saudi University Researchers Named Among World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists

SAKAKA, Saudi Arabia: Sixty-eight faculty members and researchers from Saudi Arabia’s Jouf University have been included in Stanford University’s 2026 list of the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists, highlighting the development of the university’s research ecosystem, the quality of its scholarly output, and its standing in the international scientific community.

Jouf University President Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya highlighted the support Saudi Arabia’s leadership provides to the education sector and its commitment to developing academic and research capabilities, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The university president also acknowledged the attention of the Governor of Al-Jouf Region and his deputy, as well as the Ministry of Education’s efforts to advance universities and enhance their scientific outcomes.

He explained that the achievement underscores the university’s research talent and its efforts to improve the quality and impact of scientific output.

This work supports the university’s strategic objectives, advances research and innovation, and contributes to building a knowledge-based economy.

The university president expressed his appreciation to the faculty members and researchers who contributed to this recognition.
