Samad and Nawaz complete Pakistan’s comeback
Pakistan’s chase had become difficult after Bangladesh’s bowlers created pressure on the slow surface.

After losing four wickets, Pakistan were in a challenging position before Abdul Samad and Hasan Nawaz combined for an unbeaten 58-run partnership.
Samad played the attacking role, scoring 30 not out from just 15 balls with five fours and one six, while Nawaz provided the finishing touch with his powerful hitting.
Tough conditions test both teams
The semi-final was reduced to 13 overs per side due to rain, adding further difficulty for both batting units.
Bangladesh posted 111-7 after Tawhid Hridoy’s 42 off 25 balls provided the foundation for their innings.

Pakistan’s bowlers responded strongly, with Sufiyan Muqeem taking three wickets and Arafat Minhas claiming two to restrict Bangladesh.
The chase then required composure under pressure, and Nawaz’s decisive stroke play helped Pakistan reach the Asian Games gold medal match.
