RAWALPINDI: Pakistan security forces have killed 19 Indian-sponsored terrorists in separate intelligence-based counterterrorism operations in Balochistan’s Quetta and Kech districts, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Wednesday.
Security forces have been conducting a clearance operation in the Shaban area of Quetta since September 21 after intelligence agencies reported the presence of multiple hideouts of Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan, posing a threat to the local population, the military’s media wing said.
The term Fitna al-Khawarij is used by the state to refer to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist group. The state has designated terrorist groups involved in terrorism activities in Balochistan as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight India’s role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.
During the clearance operation, security forces effectively engaged and cleared multiple terrorist hideouts in the Shaban area of Quetta, ISPR said.
Following an intense exchange of fire, 13 Indian-sponsored terrorists have been killed so far. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the cleared hideouts. ISPR said the clearance operation will continue until the complete neutralisation of the threat in the area and to safeguard the local populace.

In separate engagements, on 22 and 23 September 2026, security forces conducted pre-emptive intelligence-based operations in district Kech and district Quetta West, ISPR said.
During the operations, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists and, following an intense exchange of fire, 6 terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered, ISPR said.
During the exchange of fire, Subedar Muhammad Jamil aged 39, resident of Taunsa Sharif, District Dera Ghazi Khan, a son of the soil, made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and embraced martyrdom.
The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace, the military resolved.
Pakistan’s security forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain committed to eliminating the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country, ISPR said.
The operations are being conducted as part of the ongoing Radd-ul-Fitna-3 counterterrorism operation to eliminate Indian proxies.
On Tuesday, Radio Pakistan reported that six terrorists were killed and nine others were arrested during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) by security forces in Balochistan’s Saran Tangi area.
On Monday, security forces killed four more terrorists belonging to a banned organisation in an intelligence-based operation carried out in two areas of Panjgur district.
Last week, security forces killed 11 terrorists in separate operations in Panjgur and Chagai districts.
