Saudi Foreign Minister Arrives in New York for 81st UN General Assembly Session

NEW YORK:  Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has arrived in New York City, United States, to head the Kingdom’s delegation in the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Saudi Arabia’s participation in this year’s High-Level Week of the General Assembly reflects its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and multilateral action, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

The Kingdom’s delegation includes Saudi Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Affairs Envoy Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development Eng. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Rumaih; Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Economic and Development Affairs Deputyship Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Wasil and a number of officials.

The Kingdom’s participation will include a series of meetings and bilateral engagements aimed at strengthening coordination and cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries and international organisations.

The engagements will also focus on discussing items on the General Assembly’s agenda, while contributing to efforts to advance security and stability and address key regional and international challenges and issues.
