RIYADH: Several Muslim countries have strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks on Saudi Arabia expressing solidarity with the Kingdom and denouncing the attacks as a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to its security, sovereignty, and stability.
Spokesman for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen (Coalition Forces), Major General Turki Al-Malki, earlier said that terrorist Houthi militia attacks on the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif injured 13 civilians while damaging seven houses and two vehicles.
In a statement, he said the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will deal with these attacks responsibly and firmly to protect the sovereignty of the Kingdom, civilian objects, and civilians from these heinous attacks, in accordance with Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, the principle of self-defence, and customary international humanitarian law.
“The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will also take all necessary operational measures to deter this terrorist militia and confront its hostile and extremist approach,” the statement said.
Gulf Cooperation Council condemnation
Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi, in a statement, condemned in the strongest terms the heinous terrorist attacks that the Houthi militia continues to commit against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its deliberate and repeated targeting of civilian infrastructure and civilians with ballistic missiles and drones, in a dangerous criminal escalation that once again confirms the terrorist approach of the Houthis.

The secretary-general added that the Houthi militia’s continuation of these attacks constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
Albudaiwi renewed his affirmation that the GCC states stand united alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and fully support all measures and procedures it takes to protect its territory, safeguard its security, and preserve the safety of its people and national assets.
Bahrain
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia yesterday, using ballistic missiles and drones to target the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif in Saudi Arabia.
The ministry said the attacks represent a continuation of the militia’s pattern of targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, resulting in injuries to several civilians and causing material damage to a number of residential homes and vehicles.

It described the attacks as a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
It affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its unwavering support for all measures the Kingdom has taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability and to protect its citizens and residents, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
In its statement, the ministry called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and adopt a firm stance against the repeated Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.
Egypt
Egypt has also strongly condemned the recent attacks against Saudi Arabia, describing them as a blatant violation of the principles and provisions of international law and a serious threat to regional security and stability.
In a statement the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its firm rejection of such attacks and warned against their recurrence, stressing that acts of this nature only exacerbate tensions and further escalate the already volatile situation in the region.

Egypt also reaffirmed its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the Kingdom in confronting any threats to its security and sovereignty, emphasising that the national security of Egypt and Saudi Arabia is inseparable.
Qatar
Qatar strongly condemned the Houthi group’s attacks on civilian objects and civilians in the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif in the Kingdom using ballistic missiles and drones, which injured several civilians and caused material damage to residential homes and vehicles.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attacks as disgraceful acts of aggression and an unacceptable disregard for civilian lives, stressing that they constitute a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom and a clear breach of international law.

The Ministry emphasised the State of Qatar’s categorical rejection of attacks targeting civilian objects and civilians, stressing the need for an immediate end to such irresponsible acts.

Jordan
Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Tuesday condemned Houthi militia attacks targeting civilians and civilian sites in the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif with ballistic missiles and drones.
The ministry called the strikes a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a threat to its security, stability and territorial integrity, describing them as a flagrant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

In a statement Tuesday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its measures to protect its security, emphasising that Saudi stability is integral to the security of Kuwait and the entire GCC.
