ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has set November 20 as the deadline for the selection of Hajj packages and payment under the private Hajj scheme.
“Private pilgrims should select and pay for their Hajj package only through the Hajj portal or the Pak Hajj app,” the ministry spokesperson said in a statement on Friday.
The November 20 deadline is the first set for private Hajj operators under Pakistan’s new four-year Hajj policy, approved by the federal cabinet in July. The policy covers the 2027 to 2030 Hajj seasons and replaces the previous practice of issuing a new framework each year.
Saudi Arabia has allocated Pakistan 179,210 Hajj places for the 2027 season, with 107,526 reserved for the government scheme and 71,684 for private operators.

Sixteen basic packages have been finalised under the private scheme, with prices ranging from Rs1.4 million [$5,050] to Rs3.75 million [$13,525]. The ministry said most Hajj companies had uploaded their packages to the digital portal following its instructions, while bookings through the Hajj Portal and Pak Hajj App had also picked up.
The private scheme offers pilgrims options including short-duration packages, direct flights from abroad and five-star Hajj packages, the spokesperson added.
He said most Hajj organiser companies had uploaded their packages on the digital portal. He urged private pilgrims to select their preferred package and make payments only through the Hajj Portal or the Pak Hajj App.
The spokesperson clarified that the ministry would not be responsible for any loss if payments were made directly to an individual or company.
He said a total of 71,684 seats had been allocated for the private Hajj scheme this year. If the allocated quota is not filled by the stipulated deadline, the ministry has the authority to reallocate the remaining quota.
