ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Security forces have killed 11 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southwestern Balochistan, according to security sources.
The operations were conducted in South Waziristan and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in Khuzdar district of Balochistan as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorist threats, the sources said.
In Bannu, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation against terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij, killing two terrorists and recovering weapons and ammunition, according to the sources.
The security forces also destroyed a terrorist hideout containing explosives during the operation, the sources said.
In another operation in the Ladha area of South Waziristan, five terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij were killed following information about their presence in the area. Fitna al-Khawarij is the terminology Pakistan officially uses for the Banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its associated terrorists.
According to the sources, security personnel detected the terrorists’ movement promptly, cordoned off the area and launched an effective operation, killing five terrorists.

Meanwhile, four terrorists belonging to the India-sponsored terrorist group Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during an operation in Sasool, Khuzdar district, Balochistan.
Security forces used quadcopters to effectively target the terrorists during the operation, the sources said.
The sources added that the operations were conducted with measures in place to protect the lives and property of civilians and ensure that the local population suffered no harm.
