RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a bus belonging to the Internal Security Forces in the Damascus countryside, which injured several ISC personnel.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, affirmed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with and full support for all measures taken by the Syrian government to combat all forms of extremism and terrorism.
It also wished Syria and its brotherly people lasting security and peace, and a swift recovery for the injured.

OIC condemns terrorist attack on Internal Security Forces bus
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in a statement on Sunday also condemned the terrorist attack targeting a bus carrying Internal Security Forces personnel in Damascus Countryside.
In a statement posted on X, OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha reaffirmed the organisation’s rejection of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and expressed full solidarity with Syria.

Taha called for stronger counter-terrorism efforts to consolidate security and stability in Syria and across the region.
MWL condemns terrorist attack in Syria
Meanwhile, the Muslim World League (MWL) based in Saudi Arabia also condemned the terrorist attack targeting a bus of the Internal Security Command in Rif Dimashq Governorate, Syria.
MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organisation of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa reiterated MWL’s firm rejection and condemnation of violence and terrorism in all their forms and under any pretext.
He also expressed the league’s solidarity with and full support for the Syrian government’s efforts to combat extremism and terrorism, wishing those injured a swift recovery.
Jordan’s Foreign Ministry also condemned the terrorist attack, expressing solidarity with Syria and its people while rejecting “all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at threatening the country’s security and stability.
Jordan reaffirmes support for Syria’s security
The ministry reaffirmed its support for Syria’s security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The bombing occurred on Saturday when a roadside device targeted a bus carrying personnel from Syria’s Internal Security Forces on the Maarounah-Al-Tall road in the Damascus countryside, Syria Alikhbaria television reported, citing a security source.
Several personnel were injured in the attack, although no details were immediately available about their condition.
The source said authorities were investigating the incident and working to identify and apprehend those responsible. No group has claimed responsibility.

The attack comes as Syria’s new administration works to strengthen security and restore stability in Damascus and other parts of the country.
Authorities have repeatedly warned that remnants of the former regime are attempting to fuel unrest and undermine security during the country’s political transition.
