Pakistan to Host England, Sri Lanka for ODI Tri-Series

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will host England and Sri Lanka in a packed international home season from October 9 to November 21, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said, featuring an ODI tri-nation series, a bilateral T20I series and two Tests against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka will be the first visiting side to arrive, playing three T20Is against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 9, 11 and 13.

England will then join the two sides for a seven-match ODI tri-series, which will run from October 18 to 31.

ODI tri-series

The tournament will open with Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on October 18.

Pakistan will face England at the same venue on October 20, before Sri Lanka meet England on October 22.

The action will then move to Lahore. Pakistan will play England on October 25 and Sri Lanka on October 27 at Gaddafi Stadium.

Sri Lanka and England will contest the final league match on October 29.

The top two teams in the standings will qualify for the final, which will be played at Gaddafi Stadium on October 31.

The first three matches of the tri-series will be staged in Rawalpindi, with the remaining league matches and final taking place in Lahore.

Sri Lanka Test series

After the ODI tri-series, Sri Lanka will remain in Pakistan for a three-day warm-up match in Islamabad from November 4 to 6.

The visitors will then play a two-match Test series against Pakistan as part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.

The first Test is scheduled for Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from November 9 to 13.

The second Test will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from November 17 to 21.

The Test series will mark Pakistan’s second home assignment in the current World Test Championship cycle.

The ODI tri-series will be Pakistan’s second successive home tournament in the format.

Pakistan hosted a tri-nation series involving New Zealand and South Africa in February 2025 ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy.
