ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have killed five Indian backed terrorists during an Intelligence-Based counterterrorism operation under “Rad-ul-Fitna-3” in southwestern Balochistan province.
According to security sources on Monday, an intelligence-based operation was conducted against Fitna al Hindustan terrorists in Sarkani and Chedgi areas of Panjgur, killing five terrorists, including a key Fitna al Hindustan commander, Wazir”.
Fitna-al-Hindustan is an official term designated by the Pakistani government to refer collectively to all Indian backed terrorist groups operating in Balochistan province.

Four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists, according to security sources.
The terrorists were involved in robbery, extortion, kidnapping and attacks targeting local traders and other residents in Panjgur.
Pakistan Interior Minister praises the security forces
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for successfully carrying out the operation.
He commended their professionalism and operational capabilities, saying the action had thwarted the terrorists’ plans and dealt a significant blow to their activities in the region.
Naqvi said the operation reflected the security forces’ preparedness, professionalism and unwavering commitment to combating terrorism. He stressed that eliminating terrorist elements was crucial to restoring lasting peace and stability in Balochistan and across the country.
He added that the government and the people remained committed to supporting the security forces in their efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and maintain peace and security nationwide.
The operation came a day after security forces killed 15 terrorists in multiple intelligence-based operations across Balochistan. the operations were conducted in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai, and Nushki districts as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3.
Surge in terror activities
Pakistan witnessed a surge in terror activities, particularly in its Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, since 2021, when the Afghan Taliban came into power.
Islamabad has repeatedly urged the Taliban regime to dismantle terrorist sanctuaries on Afghan soil, particularly those linked to the banned TTP terrorist network. However, the Taliban regime failed to take any action against the terrorist sanctuaries on Afghan soil.
Due to the surge in terrorist attacks, Pakistan has intensified counterterrorism operations to eliminate the menace.

According to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies’ (PICSS) monthly security assessment, released on July 31, Balochistan witnessed the sharpest deterioration in the country’s security situation last month.
The report said the overall death toll in the province surged by 241 per cent, rising from 109 in June to 372 in July.
Security personnel deaths in Balochistan increased from six in June to 62 in July, representing a rise of 933pc. Terrorist deaths rose from 75 to 238, while civilian deaths increased by 93pc, from 28 to 54. Eighteen members of peace committees were also killed in the province.
In July, security forces and law-enforcement agencies jointly launched Operation Shaban in Balochistan following a deadly attack on a police post at the Mangi Dam pumping station in Ziarat on July 6. During the assault, armed attackers kidnapped and killed 27 police officers.
On July 9, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the country’s civil and military leadership had taken a “mutual and singular decision” to eliminate terrorism following several major militant attacks in Balochistan.
He made the remarks during a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee on the National Action Plan in Quetta, which was also attended by Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
