ANKARA, Turkiye: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a one-day visit to Saudi Arabia on Friday, where he is expected to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkey’s presidential communications office said on Thursday.
Communications Director at the Turkish Presidency, Burhanettin Duran, said in a post on X that Erdogan is expected to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prime Minister Sharif during the visit.

On Monday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Erdogan held a phone call. During the call, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkiye across a number of fields, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. They also discussed the latest developments in the region.
President Erdogan reaffirmed Turkiye’s condemnation of the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against vessels in the Red Sea and expressed his country’s full support for the Kingdom.
The Turkish President also welcomed the establishment of the Saudi-led multinational maritime defence alliance and wished it success in achieving its objectives.

Pakistan PM arrives in Saudi Arabia
Earlier on Thursday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on an official visit to Saudi Arabia to hold high-level strategic talks with the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman.

During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss ways to further strengthen the longstanding fraternal ties and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on the regional situation and other issues of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
According to the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will hold delegation-level talks at the Royal Palace in Jeddah, where both sides will undertake a comprehensive review of bilateral cooperation and exchange views on the rapidly evolving regional security landscape.
Both leaders are also expected to deliberate on efforts aimed at preventing further escalation and promoting lasting stability across the Middle East.

The leadership of the two countries is also expected to reaffirm their commitment to further expanding cooperation in defence, security, intelligence, trade, investment and economic collaboration while reviewing major regional and international developments of mutual concern.
The visit reflects the close political coordination between Islamabad and Riyadh and comes amid intensified regional diplomacy, as key stakeholders seek to navigate multiple security challenges and advance efforts for peace and stability across the Gulf and the wider Middle East.
