MANAMA: Bahrain has strongly condemned the terrorist threats issued by the so-called military spokesperson of the Houthi terrorist militia against Saudi Arabia, including baseless allegations and irresponsible escalation that undermine the security and stability of the region.
The Foreign Ministry warned that these actions pose a serious threat to maritime navigation, international trade, and innocent civilians.
The ministry said the threats constitute a blatant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

Bahrain affirms solidarity with Saudi Arabia
It affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, emphasising that the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of Bahrain’s security. It also expressed full support for the legitimate measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.
The Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of coordinated international efforts to safeguard maritime security in the Red Sea, the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, and other key waterways to ensure the uninterrupted flow of energy supplies and global trade.
Bahrain also reaffirmed its appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic, humanitarian, and development initiatives aimed at securing a comprehensive and lasting political settlement to the Yemen crisis.
It said these efforts are based on the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216.
The ministry added that such initiatives support Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity while advancing the aspirations of the Yemeni people for peace, stability, and sustainable development.

Saudi Arabia rejects Houthi allegations
Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet strongly condemned baseless claims and false accusations made by the terrorist Houthi militia, along with its involvement in regional conflict to advance its sinister agenda and objectives.

The Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s continued support for the Yemeni people and their legitimate government, as well as its commitment to taking firm measures to protect its security and vessels in accordance with international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
It noted that these actions have exacerbated the suffering of the Yemeni people and threatened regional security and stability.
