ISLAMABAD: Croatia has praised Pakistan’s prominent role in regional peace efforts as both countries expressed their desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
Croatian Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Dr Gordan Grlić Radman called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Thursday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch were also present during the meeting.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the Croatian foreign minister and his delegation to Pakistan, saying Islamabad enjoyed friendly relations with Zagreb based on cordiality, mutual respect and shared interests.
He said Pakistan wanted to further expand cooperation with Croatia, particularly in trade and investment, information technology, connectivity, agriculture, tourism and skilled manpower.
The prime minister also conveyed warm regards and good wishes to Croatian President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. He extended a cordial invitation to both leaders to undertake official visits to Pakistan at their convenience.

Dr Gordan Grlić Radman thanked the prime minister for the warm welcome and said he was honoured to visit Islamabad.
The Croatian foreign minister congratulated Pakistan and its leadership for playing a prominent role in regional peace efforts, reflecting growing international recognition of Pakistan’s responsible diplomatic engagement.
He also expressed his government’s desire to enhance Pakistan-Croatia relations in all areas of mutual interest.
Officials said the meeting reflected Pakistan’s active diplomatic outreach towards Europe and its commitment to building practical partnerships based on economic cooperation, regional stability and mutual respect.
