RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin on Wednesday held phone calls with the foreign ministers of Turkiye and the Kyrgyz Republic and discussed regional developments.
Last week, Tehran and Washington signed the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, laying the groundwork for the negotiations, after a 40-day war that was followed by weeks of ceasefire.
The countries later agreed on a 60-day roadmap towards a final agreement following the conclusion of high-level talks in Switzerland mediated by Pakistan and Qatar.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call today from Foreign Minister of Turkiye Hakan Fidan during which the two sides discussed regional developments and topics of mutual interest, according to the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

Meanwhile, Prince Faisal held a separate call with the Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev.
Prince Faisal congratulated Zheenbek Kulubaev on the election of the Kyrgyz Republic as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term, expressing his hope that Kyrgyzstan will contribute to supporting the council’s efforts to promote international peace and security, the Foreign Ministry said.

During the call, they also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them across various fields and discussed regional and international developments and the efforts being made in this regard.
Earlier this Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye met in Cairo at the Fourth Consultative Meeting, expressing alignment on regional de-escalation, collective security, and long-term stability across the Middle East.
