LAHORE: In a historic milestone for women’s cricket in Pakistan, the South Africa U19 women’s team will tour the country for the first time ever next month, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Friday.
The five-match T20 series will be staged entirely at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, running from July 14 to 24. Match timings will be announced closer to the start of the tour.

According to the PCB, the visiting side is scheduled to arrive in Karachi on July 10, with training sessions at the venue beginning the following day. Both teams will fine-tune their preparations until July 13, the eve of the series opener.
Beyond the historical significance, the home assignment carries immense strategic value for Pakistan. It offers the national side a crucial opportunity to sharpen their skills ahead of two major international tournaments, the ACC Women’s U19 T20 Asia Cup, which Pakistan will host later this year, and the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled for early next year.
Pakistan’s U19 women’s team last featured in a bilateral series in December 2025, when they toured Bangladesh and secured a 3-2 victory.
Earlier that year, they also competed in the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup, where they finished fourth, a performance that underscored the rising potential of women’s cricket in the country.
