ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has facilitated the repatriation of 30 Iranian nationals under a coordinated humanitarian arrangement involving authorities from Iran, the United States, and the United Kingdom, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Wednesday.
In a post on social media platform X, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan was “pleased to facilitate the repatriation of 30 Iranian nationals”, adding that the move reflects Islamabad’s continued commitment to humanitarian cooperation and regional coordination in maritime incidents.

The group includes eight Iranian fishermen who were rescued at sea by the British vessel MMA Valour after their boat ran aground, as well as 22 Iranian crew members from the vessel Lenore/Davina, which was recently intercepted by US authorities.
According to the deputy prime minister, both groups are expected to transit through Karachi in the coming days before returning to Iran. He said Pakistan is working in close coordination with relevant Iranian, US and UK authorities to ensure the safe transit and swift repatriation of the affected individuals.
Dar further emphasised that Pakistan remains committed to extending all possible assistance in such humanitarian situations, particularly where maritime safety and international coordination are involved.
