RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is set to host Social Entrepreneurship Week from June 14 to 18 under a joint initiative led by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, in collaboration with the National Center for the Non-Profit Sector and the Social Development Bank.

The event is designed to underline the growing importance of social entrepreneurship in empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while enhancing their capacity for sustainable growth, innovation, and long-term resilience.

Organisers said the initiative will also focus on creating meaningful linkages between entrepreneurs and social investment opportunities, in addition to encouraging specialised partnerships within the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.

A strong multi-sector presence is expected, with more than 44 entities drawn from the public, private, and non-profit sectors taking part. These will also include organisations dedicated to social investment and community development, reflecting a broad national push to strengthen the social enterprise landscape.

According to Arab News, the week-long programme will be hosted across SME support centres in Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, Alkhobar, and Asir, ensuring wide geographical participation and accessibility for entrepreneurs across the Kingdom.

According to the organisers, the event will feature more than eight main discussion sessions, alongside 50 entrepreneurial meetings, advisory clinics, and exhibition activities.

The programme will bring together officials, industry experts, and sector specialists to share insights, provide guidance, and explore new opportunities for collaboration within the SME ecosystem.
