BEIRUT: At least three people have been killed in Israeli drone strikes targeting vehicles in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh region, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency, as reported by Al Jazeera.
The report said the attacks struck vehicles along two separate routes — the Kafr Rumman–Jarmaq highway and the Jarmaq–Khardali road — in what appeared to be coordinated drone operations in the area.
Authorities confirmed that a total of three Israeli drone strikes were carried out in the region, resulting in multiple fatalities. Further details regarding the identities of the victims were not immediately available.
In a separate development, the Israeli military issued evacuation warnings for residents of 10 villages in southern Lebanon, signalling the possibility of further strikes in the area.
According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee posted a message on social media platform X, instructing residents of Al-Nabatieh Al-Tahta, Al-Louizeh, Sajd, Ain Qana, Harouf, Zibdin, Kfar Reman, Al-Duwayr, Adshit Al-Shaqif and Maydun to leave their homes immediately ahead of what were described as imminent military operations.
The warning has raised further concern amid continuing Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon, where tensions have remained high and cross-border hostilities have persisted in recent weeks. Officials and local media reports indicate that the situation remains volatile, with residents in affected areas facing repeated displacement threats and security uncertainty.
