QUETTA: The Chaman Phatak terrorist attack has so far claimed the lives of 14 people, including 3 brave Frontier Corps personnel, while several others remain injured. The deliberate targeting of civilians once again exposes the cowardly nature of terrorist networks and their handlers.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, women, children and ordinary passengers were among those affected by the blast, highlighting how these elements intentionally target soft civilian sites to spread fear and instability rather than confront the state directly.

The attack reflects the desperation of anti-Pakistan terrorist proxies that seek to disturb peace and create panic through indiscriminate violence against innocent people during a period of improving stability and normalcy.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies responded immediately, cordoned off the area, initiated investigations, and are pursuing all facilitators and perpetrators involved in the attack.

The martyrdom of FC personnel while protecting civilians reinforces the continued sacrifices being rendered by Pakistan’s security forces to safeguard public life against externally backed terrorist violence.

Such attacks cannot weaken public resolve. The people of Pakistan, particularly the citizens of Balochistan, continue to reject terrorism and stand with the state and security institutions against enemies of peace and stability.

Pakistan’s growing diplomatic and strategic successes have unsettled India and its proxies, pushing them towards desperate and cowardly acts of terrorism,  according to security officials.

Unable to confront Pakistani security forces, these anti-peace elements deliberately attack soft civilian targets to create fear and instability.

The attack near Chaman Phatak was aimed at innocent passengers travelling home to celebrate Eid with their families, exposing the inhuman nature of the perpetrators.

Targeting public infrastructure, passenger trains, and unarmed civilians is not resistance; it is disgraceful terrorism and completely against Baloch traditions and values, security officials said.

The blast not only affected the train but also damaged nearby vehicles and buildings, once again proving that these groups have no regard for civilian life.

Those spreading terror in Balochistan under foreign direction are enemies of peace, development, and prosperity for the people of the province.

Fitna al Hindustan and its handlers seek to malign Pakistan internationally, but such cowardly attacks only further expose their desperation and moral bankruptcy, according to security officials.

Federal Minister condemns blast

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi strongly condemned the blast in Quetta.

“The incident is an act of cowardly terrorism, and such attacks cannot weaken the nation’s resolve,” the federal minister for railways said.

Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said anti-Pakistan terrorists based in India and Afghanistan are patronising terrorism.

“The evil designs of terrorist networks operating from India and Afghanistan will never be allowed to succeed,” Muhammad Hanif Abbasi stated.

Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a rescue operation.

A rescue truck and relief train were dispatched to the site for relief activities.

“Terrorists are enemies of humanity and the country, and they will be brought to a disgraceful end,” Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said.

“Pakistan Railways’ operational activities will continue uninterrupted,” the railways minister added.

The federal minister for railways also directed the administration to submit an immediate report on the incident.
