Asked to bat first, Pakistan piled on a commanding 343 for 4 in their 50 overs, powered by a 189-run opening stand between Gull Feroza and Sadaf Shamas. The partnership ended when Gull Feroza was dismissed for a brilliant 100 off 95 balls, studded with 13 boundaries. Sidra Amin remained unbeaten on 59, while late flourishes from Fatima Sana (25 off 13), Aliya Riaz (27 off 14), and Ayesha Zafar (18 off 8) propelled Pakistan past the 340-run mark.
For Zimbabwe, Lindokuhle Mabhero, Christine Mutasa, Olinder Chare, and Nomvelo Sibanda claimed one wicket each, but the bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs throughout the innings.
The dominant batting display has put Pakistan in a commanding position in the three-match ICC Women’s Championship series, with the hosts eyeing a clean finish after taking an early lead.
