ARAR, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah has visited the Jadidat Arar border crossing with Iraq and inspected ongoing preparations to receive Hajj pilgrims.
He expressed his gratitude to Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, for his continuous oversight and commitment to strengthening the preparedness of border crossings in the region for receiving pilgrims, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
He also commended the coordinated efforts of various government agencies in delivering services that streamline arrival procedures and improve the overall reception experience.
During the visit, he reviewed the border crossing, beginning with entry procedures, followed by reception and guidance services, and concluding with the organised management of transportation.
These measures ensure smooth operations and the efficient completion of formalities, reflecting the high level of care provided to pilgrims from the moment of their arrival.
The minister further emphasised that preparations at the Jadidat Arar Border Crossing are part of an integrated system designed to facilitate the pilgrim experience.
This includes close coordination among relevant authorities, the use of advanced technological solutions, and continuous improvements in field operations to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
This year’s Hajj is expected to take place between May 25 and May 30, subject to the sighting of the moon, which determines the start of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah.
