KARACHI: Hyderabad Kingsmen delivered a dominant all-round performance to defeat RawalPindiz by 108 runs in a must-win Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 match at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday, securing qualification for the playoffs.
Chasing a daunting target of 245, RawalPindiz were bowled out for 136 in 17.1 overs as the Kingsmen produced a disciplined bowling display under pressure.
The result ensured Hyderabad met their qualification requirement, which was not only to win but to restrict their opponents to 158 or fewer.

Clinical bowling
RawalPindiz suffered an early setback when Akif Javed dismissed Shahzaib Khan for 1 in the opening overs.
Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khawaja attempted to stabilise the innings with a 43-run partnership.
However, Hunain Shah removed Rizwan for 26, triggering a collapse.

Khawaja continued to anchor the innings and brought up his second PSL half-century.
He remained unbeaten on 66 off 43 balls, including nine fours, but lacked support from the other end.
Wickets fell regularly as Hunain Shah struck twice more, dismissing Kamran Ghulam for a duck and Amad Butt for three.
Akif Javed also returned to remove Dian Forrester, while the lower order failed to resist.
Hunain Shah led the bowling attack with figures of 4 for 22, while Akif Javed claimed three wickets.
Mohammad Ali and Glenn Maxwell chipped in with one wicket each.
Hyderabad Kingsmen post massive total
Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen posted an imposing 244 for 6 after being put in to bat.
Captain Marnus Labuschagne fell early for 5, bowled by Ben Sears in the second over.
Maaz Sadaqat and Usman Khan then added a brisk 50-run stand.
Maaz scored 28 off 11 balls before being dismissed by Amad Butt.
Usman Khan led the charge with a rapid 54 off 26 deliveries, registering his fifth PSL half-century.
His innings included four fours and four sixes before he was dismissed by Saad Masood.
A brief cameo from Saim Ayub ended at 12, while the Kingsmen slipped to 119 for 5 after quick wickets.
Maxwell, Perera power late surge
The innings was revived by a crucial 108-run partnership between Kusal Perera and Glenn Maxwell.
Maxwell struck a fluent 70 off 37 balls, including eight fours and three sixes, bringing up his maiden PSL fifty before being run out in the final over.
Perera remained unbeaten on 50 off 30 deliveries, hitting five fours and a six. Hassan Khan added a quick 16 to push the total to 244.
