KARACHI: A 74-year-old welder from Karachi has brought pride to Pakistan by securing his third Guinness World Record.
Naseemuddin, a resident of Shah Faisal Colony and the oldest welder in the city, shattered 38 marble tiles while holding an egg in his hand, surpassing the previous record of 30 tiles.
The Guinness World Records officially recognised the achievement, with confirmation received via email and the record now listed on the organization’s official website.
A legacy of record-breaking feats
Naseemuddin is no stranger to the world stage. He previously set records for breaking 163 walnuts with a hammer and crushing an apple with one hand. His passion for breaking records runs in the family, his granddaughter, grandson, son, and daughter-in-law have all earned Guinness World Records for Pakistan.
He is also the father of Rashid Naseem, who holds the distinction of achieving the most world records for the country.
Dedicating achievement to the nation
Speaking about his latest accomplishment, Naseemuddin dedicated the record to the Pakistan Army and expressed his pride in representing his homeland.
“This record is for all my fellow countrymen who love our nation,” he said. “At 74, I take pride in making Pakistan’s name shine globally, along with my family.”
