ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday increased the petroleum development levy and margin to keep the prices unchanged.
The levy on light diesel was increased from Rs8.56 to Rs30.45, high-speed diesel from Rs32.50 to Rs35, and kerosine from Rs4.34 to Rs6.22.
The levy on petrol was kept unchanged at Rs50.
The government also increased the margin of oil marketing companies by 1 rupee while also adjusting the exchange rate.
