Pakistan Super League Exhibition Match to be Played in Quetta

KARACHI: The eighth edition of the biggest cricket festival, Pakistan Super League (PSL), is scheduled to be played from February 13 to March 19 in Multan, Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.

In the build-up to the mega event, the new management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is committed to engaging fans from across Pakistan, PCB said in a statement.

After taking charge as chairman of the PCB management committee, Najam Sethi announced to include Quetta as the fifth venue to host Pakistan Super League’s eighth edition.

Meanwhile, PCB has decided to engage Quetta fans by hosting an exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators on February 5, which is observed as “Kashmir Day” countrywide.

Pakistan Super League 8th Edition

PCB, in consultation with marketing and production teams, did a recce of Quetta’s only cricket stadium last week.

PCB is chalking out a budget plan to host the only exhibition match in Quetta. In collaboration with security officials, the cricket board is committed to displaying high-quality cricket action to fans.

Development work at Quetta’s Bugti Stadium is in full swing. The beautiful ground, which hosted only a one-day international (ODI) back in 1996, will host international standard cricket after a long period.

On the other hand, a Quetta Gladiators representative also confirmed that their full-strength Pakistani players would be available for the only exhibition match against Peshawar Zalmi.
