Saudi Arabia, Poland Agree Visa Exemptions for Diplomatic Passport Holders

WARSAW, Poland: Saudi Arabia and Poland have signed an agreement granting visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, in line with the laws of both countries, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.

According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry statement on Monday, the move aims to strengthen diplomatic relations and facilitate official travel between the two nations.

The development comes following a meeting between Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, in Warsaw.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed bilateral ties between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields.

“They also discussed political developments, issues of mutual interest, and efforts to achieve regional and international security and stability,” the statement said

Saudi Ambassador to Poland Alshahwan Enass was also present on the occasion.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Warsaw on Sunday on an official visit to Poland to strengthen bilateral ties.

Saudi Arabia and Poland enjoy steadily growing bilateral relations, marked by expanding political dialogue and cooperation across multiple sectors.

Trade between the two countries has increased in recent years, particularly in energy, petrochemicals, food products, and industrial goods.

Both sides have expressed interest in further strengthening economic ties, investment cooperation, and partnerships in emerging sectors, reflecting a shared commitment to deepening Saudi-Polish relations.

The current trade volume between the two countries is estimated at about $9 billion, reflecting expanding economic ties between the two countries.

In 2024, Saudi exports to Poland were around $432.99 million, while Poland’s exports to Saudi Arabia were approximately $806 million.

In February 2024, Saudi Arabia and Poland established a joint business council for the 2024-2028 term to boost trade and investment between the two countries.
