Saudi Arabia Joins ‘Arabian Gulf Security 4’ Exercise in Qatar

DOHA:  Saudi security forces have arrived in Qatar to join the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) “Arabian Gulf Security 4” tactical exercise.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), on Friday, the Saudi forces will participate in the exercise with specialised units from the Ministry of Interior.

The exercise aims to strengthen operational coordination and promote the sharing of expertise across internal security sectors.

By simulating responses to common security threats, participating forces seek to improve collective readiness and develop innovative strategies to tackle shared regional challenges.

According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the exercise will be held from January 25 to February 4, 2026.

The drill brings together security agencies and forces from the GCC states, alongside professional units from the United States, with the goal of sharing expertise and experiences in managing a variety of incidents and scenarios.

The exercise includes joint training programmes that simulate realistic situations, testing operational plans and procedures, improving field coordination, and strengthening the integrated roles of participating units.

It also promotes the exchange of knowledge and reinforces readiness to effectively and professionally handle a wide range of cases and circumstances.
