Minhas finished over ten balls faster, setting a new global benchmark for the fastest ton at the youth international level.
Blistering knock powers Pakistan to title
Minhas’s record-breaking effort was the centrepiece of a dominant chase in the final at Harare. After Zimbabwe posted 159, the opener launched a savage assault, smashing 114 runs off just 51 balls.
His innings, studded with 17 fours and five sixes, single-handedly dismantled the bowling attack and propelled Pakistan to a comprehensive nine-wicket victory with more than 23 overs to spare.
Historic feat caps stunning tournament run
The historic century further cements Minhas’s reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in world cricket.
It follows his recent heroics in the U19 Asia Cup, where he scored a monumental 172 in the final.
His record-breaking innings in Harare not only secured the tri-series trophy for Pakistan but also announced his arrival as a prodigious talent on the global youth stage.
