RIYADH: Global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, alongside his partner Georgina Rodríguez, has solidified his connection to Saudi Arabia by purchasing two luxury villas at the ultra-exclusive Nujuma resort, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve within the Red Sea International development.

The properties are part of the Red Sea Residences approximately 26 kilometres from the mainland and accessible only by boat or seaplane.

The couple reportedly acquired a three-bedroom villa for family use and a two-bedroom unit, becoming pioneer owners at the 19-villa resort designed for ultimate privacy and a deep connection to nature.

“Peace and Tranquillity” in Luxury

Ronaldo described the destination to the Saudi Gazette as “truly exceptional in every sense of the word.”

He added, “From our very first visit, Georgina and I felt a deep connection with this island and its breath-taking natural beauty. It’s a place where we find peace and tranquillity.”

The purchase underscores the destination’s appeal to global elite seeking discretion and luxury.

Red Sea International CEO John Pagano highlighted that Ronaldo’s investment reflects the project’s unique blend of luxury and environmental commitment.

“We are delighted to welcome Cristiano and Georgina to the Red Sea Residences community,” he said.

The entire destination, including all residential facilities, is powered by renewable energy, with an ambitious goal of achieving a 30% net positive environmental impact by 2040 through habitat enrichment initiatives.
