Last month, Ishaq Dar and Hakan Fidan held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic foreign ministers’ meeting on Gaza in Istanbul.
They agreed to continue working together on the issue of Palestine, especially on establishing sustainable peace in Gaza.
During the meeting, the ministers expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Turkiye bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening cooperation across political, economic, and defence spheres, Pakistan’s Foreign Office stated in a statement.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ashgabat on the sidelines of the International Year of Peace and Trust Forum.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Turkiye across political, economic, energy, defence, and investment domains.
