Haydon, who has been a constant presence alongside the PM during his election campaigns and official events, wore a dress by Sydney designer Romance was Born, while Albanese donned a suit by MJ Bale.
The ceremony featured unique touches, including five-year-old Ella, Haydon’s niece, as the flower girl, and the couple’s dog, Toto, serving as the ring bearer.
Guests enjoyed a specially crafted beer from Sydney’s Willie the Boatman brewery, and the couple danced to classics by Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra.
Albanese and Haydon will honeymoon within Australia from Monday to Friday next week, with all expenses privately covered.
