LOS ANGELES: US singer Taylor Swift has added another major milestone to her career, as she is set to be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, becoming the youngest-ever inductee at the age of 36.

The global pop superstar will be honoured in the Contemporary Songwriter/Artist category, further cementing her status as one of the most influential songwriters of her generation.

Swift’s induction recognises her prolific songwriting career, which began when she was a teenager in Nashville and has since produced some of the biggest hits in contemporary music.

The latest honour comes just weeks after another historic achievement. In June, Swift became the youngest woman ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, at the age of 36.

Swift has long been celebrated for writing songs across country and pop, with a catalogue that includes hits such as Love Story, Blank Space, Anti-Hero and Cruel Summer. Her Nashville recognition marks another significant chapter in a career that has repeatedly broken records and reshaped the modern music industry.

The Nashville honour is particularly significant given Swift’s deep connection to the city. She moved to Nashville as a young teenager to pursue songwriting and began building the foundation of her career there. Her induction also comes in the 20th anniversary year of her debut album, Taylor Swift.

Swift will be formally honoured alongside the other members of the 2026 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame class at the organisation’s 56th Anniversary Gala later this year.

Her fans quickly flocked to the comments and wrote, “Dare I say n1 else deserves it sooner or more than her anyway. Her pen just never misses!,” and “Omg Taylor Swift will forever be the music industry.”

A third chimed in, “Think she’s not just in the Hall of Fame… she’s the reason half the new generation even picked up a pen,” and “imagine getting songwriters hall of fame before the nashville one oh taygod they will never let me believe you’re a flop,” wrote another.

One mused, “thank you so much for this achievement… i want to celebrate by telling you.. that my version of my debut album will be coming out OCTOBER 23rd!!!!!!”

While another added, “Youngest ever is insane. Taylor really built a generational songwriting career.”

Taylor Swift makes Billboard history

In June this year, Taylor Swift reached another milestone in her career as her latest single, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The track, featured in Toy Story 5, became Swift’s 15th chart-topping hit, further strengthening her position among the most successful artists in Billboard history.

With this achievement, she surpassed both Drake and Rihanna in total No. 1 singles, now ranking third overall, behind only The Beatles and Mariah Carey.

The song also broke records beyond the main chart. It was the first Pixar-associated song ever to reach No. 1 on the Hot 100 and only the third song from a Disney animated film to achieve the milestone.

According to Billboard, the track posted an exceptionally strong first-week performance, driven by massive streaming numbers, high radio airplay, and strong digital sales.

Over the years, the Grammy-winning artist has released numerous chart-topping hits, making her one of the most successful and influential musicians of her generation.

In addition to her musical achievements, Swift has built a powerful global brand through strategic business decisions, exclusive partnerships, and a loyal fan base that continues to support her projects.

With a career spanning nearly two decades, Swift remains one of the most dominant figures in global entertainment.
