WASHINGTON: Saudi Arabia and the United States are set to hold the second edition of the Investment Forum to boost economic cooperation between the two countries.

The forum will be held under the theme “Leadership for Growth: Strengthening the Saudi-US Economic Partnership,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The forum is part of an investment partnership reflecting a strong history of mutual understanding and renewed cooperation between the two countries.

It aims to broaden economic collaboration, promote knowledge transfer and technology localisation, foster emerging industries, and create jobs by aligning Saudi investment goals with American innovation.

Senior government officials, policymakers, and CEOs from both nations are set to participate, along with leading investors, entrepreneurs, innovators, and representatives from both the public and private sectors.

The event will feature panel discussions on strategic sectors, including artificial intelligence, energy, finance, healthcare, defense and space, advanced manufacturing, and infrastructure.

The forum comes at a time when ties between the two countries are on an upward trajectory, underpinned by a strategic partnership and ongoing coordination on political, economic, and security issues.

Both countries also hold influential positions in regional and global affairs, addressing shared concerns in ways that promote security, stability, and prosperity for themselves, the region, and the wider world.
