ISLAMABAD: The Lok Mela, a 10-day folk festival at the Lok Virsa Complex in Shakarparian, has transformed the heart of Pakistan’s cultural capital into a vibrant celebration of the country’s indigenous arts.
The event, which has become a beacon of cultural exchange, attracts a wide range of visitors, from citizens and diplomats to art lovers, all eager to experience the rich folk heritage of Pakistan.
This year’s festival showcases the remarkable diversity of Pakistan’s regions through traditional crafts, handwoven textiles, intricate mirror work, pottery, and unique jewellery, all meticulously crafted by artisans from every corner of the country.

Organized by the National Heritage and Culture Division in partnership with Lok Virsa, this 10-day folk festival will conclude with a spectacular Grand Closing Ceremony and Musical Night on Sunday, November 16.
