ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s state-owned energy giant Aramco, in partnership with Gas & Oil Pakistan Limited (GO), has launched its 50th fuel retail station in Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in company’s rapidly expanding footprint in the country’s fuel market.

Aramco entered Pakistan’s downstream market last year by acquiring a 40 percent stake in Gas & Oil Pakistan Limited (GO), one of the country’s largest oil marketing firms.

The partnership provided Aramco access to GO’s network of over 1,200 retail outlets, allowing for a rapid rollout of Aramco-branded stations amid growing fuel demand and expanding transport infrastructure in Pakistan.

The newest station, situated along Islamabad’s Srinagar Highway, is part of this ongoing expansion.

Senior management and industry officials attended the inauguration, which the companies described as a key step in enhancing retail fuel access along major transport routes.

“Beyond expanding its network, the Aramco new station contributes to the creation of employment opportunities, local skill development, and economic activity in the surrounding community,” Aramco said in a statement.

“Each new outlet supports operational staff, customer service teams, and supply chain partners, reinforcing the broader socio-economic impact of the investment.”

Aramco opened its first retail outlet in Lahore in 2024 and has since expanded to operate 50 stations across several provinces.

GO continues to manage network operations, fuel distribution, and logistics, while Aramco oversees brand standards, product specifications, and retail experience guidelines.

“This growth demonstrates the company’s dedication to delivering modern fuelling experiences while actively contributing to Pakistan’s economic development and providing both jobs and infrastructure that benefit local communities,” the company said.

Aramco’s growth reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader economic engagement with Pakistan. The Kingdom is among Pakistan’s largest investors and is home to more than 2.7 million Pakistani workers.
