ISTANBUL, Turkiye: Pakistan and Turkiye agreed to further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
This came during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, and Turkiye’s Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Omer Bolat, in Istanbul on the sidelines of the 41st Session of the COMCEC (The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation).
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two brotherly countries, according to a statement issued on Monday.
Prof. Dr. Omer Bolat reaffirmed his government’s strong commitment to deepening trade relations and expanding bilateral economic engagement with Pakistan.
He also assured that Turkiye would give favorable consideration to Pakistan’s proposals in the upcoming round of trade negotiations.
Jam Kamal Khan briefed his Turkish counterpart on the reforms and initiatives being implemented by the Government of Pakistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to enhance efficiency, promote transparency, and boost investor confidence in the country’s economic system.

He stressed that Pakistan is emerging as a promising destination for Turkish investment in multiple sectors.
Prof. Dr. Omer Bolat also invited Minister Jam Kamal Khan to attend the upcoming Halal Expo in Istanbul on November 25, highlighting the significance of enhancing cooperation in the halal trade and related sectors.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening their partnership and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in trade, investment, and industrial development—reflecting the deep and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkiye.
