ISLAMABAD: Former South Africa captain Shaun Pollock is set to return to Pakistan this month as part of the commentary panel for the two-Test series between Pakistan and South Africa, which begins on 12 October. The second Test is scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi from 20 to 24 October.
Pollock, who last toured Pakistan as a player in 1997 and 2003, will join a star-studded panel of former Pakistan Test captains Aamir Sohail, Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis, and former Test batter Bazid Khan for live match coverage.
The Test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27, and fans will also enjoy insights from PCB’s PitchSide Studio, hosted by Zainab Abbas, featuring expert analysis before and after each day’s play.
The broadcast lineup for the white-ball leg of the tour, which includes three T20Is in Rawalpindi and Lahore, followed by three ODIs in Faisalabad from October 28 to November 8, will see Aamir Sohail and Ramiz Raja return, joined by former Pakistan women’s team captain Urooj Mumtaz, and South African cricket veterans JP Duminy and Vernon Philander.
Zainab Abbas will continue her role as presenter throughout the T20I and ODI series as well.
