ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday unveiled its latest central contracts for women cricketers, featuring a substantial 50 per cent increase in salaries across all categories.
A total of 20 players have been awarded contracts, divided into five categories.
Top-ranked ICC T20I bowler Sadia Iqbal has been placed in Category A, alongside Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali, and Sidra Amin.
Category B includes Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, and Nashra Sandhu, while Rameen Shamim is the sole player listed in Category C.
Category D consists of ten players: Gull Feroza, Najiha Alvi, Natalia Pervaiz, Omaima Sohail, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Nawaz, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tuba Hassan, Umme Hani, and Waheeda Akhtar.
Category E includes Eyman Fatima and Shawaal Zulfiqar.
Newly contracted players
Among the newly contracted players are Aliya Riaz (Category B), Natalia Pervaiz, Sidra Nawaz, and Waheeda Akhtar (Category D), as well as Eyman Fatima and Shawaal Zulfiqar (Category E), all receiving contracts for the first time.
The new contracts, effective from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026, reflect a notable 50 per cent rise in monthly retainers for all categories.
The list was finalised by the women’s selection committee in consultation with head coach Mohammad Wasim.
Over the next year, the Pakistan women’s team is set to participate in two major ICC tournaments—the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (September–October 2025) and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup (June 2026)—alongside various bilateral series at home and abroad.
In addition to Sadia Iqbal’s inclusion in Category A, Diana Baig has been promoted from Category C to B, and Rameen Shamim has moved up from Category D to C.
