MADINAH: The Madinah Health Cluster in Saudi Arabia has performed 207 heart surgeries for the Hajj pilgrims in the 47 days since the start of the Hajj season.
The Madinah Health Cluster reported a total of 37,746 visits to health centres, including 16,059 emergency cases. Additionally, 2,289 ambulance services were provided, along with 120 dialysis sessions during the period, Saudi Gazette reported on Monday.
To support pilgrims during the post-Hajj season, the Cluster enhanced its healthcare services in Madinah through 33 permanent and seasonal hospitals and medical facilities, in addition to deploying mobile clinic units.
To ensure the highest standards of medical care, nearly 21,000 technical and healthcare personnel are working around the clock. Furthermore, the Cluster launched a comprehensive multilingual awareness and education campaign aimed at pilgrims arriving in Madinah, focusing on health and preventive care across a range of languages.
In addition to the 109 panels at the Cluster’s medical facilities, awareness screens were turned on at the Haramain High-Speed Railway Station and Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
