JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran, denouncing them as a flagrant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and security.
The OIC, in a statement on Friday, termed the Israeli attacks as a ‘blatant breach of international law and norms.’
The OIC Secretariat General emphasised that the escalation poses a serious threat to regional peace, security, and stability.
It urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to uphold its legal and political responsibilities by taking immediate and decisive action to end this aggression.
Israel launched major strikes against Iran earlier today, saying it targeted nuclear facilities, ballistic missile factories, and military commanders.

Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri, Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami, and other military and civilian figures were assassinated in Israeli strikes in Tehran.
Iran promised a harsh response, and the Israeli military said Iran launched around 100 drones, with air defences intercepting them outside Israeli territory.
