Opting to bat first, Karachi Kings posted a formidable total of 237/4 in their 20 overs. The innings was anchored by a remarkable 162-run partnership between captain David Warner and England’s James Vince. Warner top-scored with 86 off 50 balls, while Vince contributed 72 off 42 balls. Khushdil Shah added a blistering 43* off 15 balls, and Mohammad Nabi supported with an unbeaten 26* off 10 balls.

Zalmi’s Response Falls Short
Chasing the daunting target, Peshawar Zalmi managed 214/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Openers Mohammad Haris and Saim Ayub provided a quick start with a 30-run partnership before Haris was dismissed. Ayub and captain Babar Azam then added 77 runs for the second wicket. Babar top-scored for Zalmi with 94 off 49 balls, including 10 fours and 4 sixes. However, his dismissal left Zalmi needing 55 runs from 13 balls, a target they couldn’t achieve. Abbas Afridi was the pick of the Kings’ bowlers, taking 2 wickets for 48 runs.

Tribute to Armed Forces
Before the match, a special ceremony was held to honor Pakistan’s armed forces.
