ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will reach Qatar today on the second phase of his official trip to the Gulf region.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, during his stay in Qatar, he will hold detailed meetings with high-official of Qatari government.
Mohsin Naqvi will also apprise Qatari leadership about principal stand of Pakistan over amid heated tension between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, according to the news channel.
Blame game
Dunya news reported that Naqvi said that the blame game is escalating tensions, and if war is imposed, Pakistan will respond firmly.
Earlier on May 4, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Muscat Oman on a one-day official visit.
Senior officials of Oman’s interior ministry and Pakistan’s ambassador in the country Syed Naveed Safdar Bukhari welcomed the minister at the airport.
Later, in a meeting with Oman’s Interior Secretary Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud, Naqvi said that Pakistan wanted to increase cooperation with Oman to stop narcotics and human smuggling.
