LAHORE, Pakistan: Karachi Kings registered a commanding 87-run victory over Multan Sultans in the 20th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday, leaving the Sultans with just one win from eight matches in the tournament.
Opting to bat first, Karachi Kings posted a formidable total of 204 for 4, thanks to an explosive start and solid middle-order partnerships.
Openers Tim Seifert and captain David Warner launched the innings aggressively, bringing up a 50-run stand in just four overs.
Seifert departed for 20 off 11 balls, while Warner scored 30 from 13 deliveries before falling in the fifth over.
Karachi Kings suffered a brief stutter at 58 for 3, as Ubaid Shah struck twice in quick succession to remove Omair Bin Yousuf (1) and Seifert.
However, Irfan Khan Niazi and James Vince steadied the innings with a crucial 78-run stand for the fourth wicket. Niazi made 40 off 33 balls before being dismissed by Curtis Campher.

James Vince anchored the innings with a composed unbeaten 65, while Khushdil Shah added late impetus with a blistering 33 off just 13 deliveries.
The duo powered Karachi past the 200-run mark, adding 16 runs in the final over to finish at 204 for 4.
Multan Sultans’ response never gained momentum as they crumbled under scoreboard pressure.
Skipper Mohammad Rizwan fell for a second-ball duck in the second over, while Usman Khan was dismissed in the following over, leaving Multan reeling at 3 for 2.
Yasir Khan showed brief resistance with 26 off 17 balls but became the third casualty inside the powerplay.
The top and middle order failed to build partnerships, with Curtis Campher, Mohammad Nabi, and Khushdil Shah dismantling the batting line-up.
Kamran Ghulam, who scored 29 off 25 balls, was the only batter to offer some resistance.
