WASHINGTON: The US said on Thursday that the Wagner Group of Russia has received delivery of weapons shipment from North Korea to assist Russian troops in Ukraine. According to Reuters, the owner of the group rejected the US’s claims and termed it as speculation and gossip.
White House National Security Council Spokesperson John Kirby said that the Russian group is searching worldwide for weapons suppliers to help its military actions in Ukraine.

John Kirby said that they can confirm that North Korea has completed the first weapons delivery to the Russian group (Wagner). He claimed that North Korea has delivered rockets and missiles into Moscow for use by Wagner last month.

The US estimates that the group known as Wagner has fifty thousand personnel deployed in Ukraine, the spokesperson added. Prigozhin, owner of Wagner said that Kirby has a habit of making statements based on incomplete information.
Prigozhin said that all know that North Korea has not been providing any arms to Moscow and no such efforts and attempts have been made. He said that the supply of arms from North Korea is just speculation and gossip.
